TYLOO beat Lynn Vision to win Funspark ULTI Asia Regional Series 1

The Chinese giants passed this crucial test before the first RMR tournament, but not without a number of scares.

TYLOO won the first Funspark ULTI Asia Regional Series following a 2-0 win over Lynn Vision on Sunday. The victory means that YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai's troops are now leading the race for the Asian spot at Funspark ULTI 2021, a LAN event that will be held in December with $300,000 on the line.

TYLOO were the heavy favourites heading into the tournament, which did not feature ViCi, but this was far from a straightforward title run. They were defeated by Lynn Vision in the group stage and also dropped a map in their first two playoff encounters, against Renewal and Invictus.

The best-of-three grand final kicked off on Overpass, where TYLOO only managed to secure victory in overtime after letting a 15-9 lead slip. Sike "⁠z4kr⁠" Zhang tried his best to keep his team in it on Inferno, even picking up an ace on the T side, but TYLOO refused to take their foot off the gas and ran out comfortable winners in the end. The Chinese giants will now turn their attention to the Perfect World League Season 1, the first Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournament of 2021, which will also include ViCi.
